All about the 12 Days Birding, Wildlife and Gorillas.

Take a moment to get fully immersed into perhaps one of our most coveted excursions. This tour will see you start at Karibu guest house with complimentary bed and breakfast, before heading off for Murchison falls and later Kibaale forest, Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth, and the world renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, National parks. This is comparably our longest excursion for the ardent tourist and nature lover.

  1. Day I Arrival at Entebbe Int. Airport

    On Arrival at Entebbe international airport, your expert guide from Indulge Africa Safaris will meet you and you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight.

  2. Day II Head out for Murchison Falls National Park

    After breakfast, you will collected by your driver guide and your safari now starts with your drive to Murchison falls National park with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track the Rhinos and have lunch then proceed to Kabalega wilderness Lodge for a check –in . Murchison falls is a home to 76 Species of mammals with 4 of the big five, with huge herds of Buffaloes and elephants, well Camouflaged leopards and a good number of lions and giraffes among other things.

  3. Day III Cruise on the Falls at Murchison Falls National Park

    With an early rise, you will be served a warm and hearty breakfast before you are taken for a game drive combined with Birding. Return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon, you will be taken for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, again you will have a chance to see a lot of bird Species and Wildlife. You will be able to hike to the top of the falls to see the beautiful water falls from the top and your driver guide will be waiting for you on the other side.

    You will return to the lodge for a relaxed evening and we shall arrange the local community to come to the lodge and have a traditional dance and display their art and crafts.

  4. Day IV Your Excursion at Kibale Forest National Park

    This day will see your relocation to Kibale Forest National Park, you will have lunch en-route. On arrival, you will check-in at Turaco Treetops. The diversity and density of primates in Kibale is the highest in Africa. Kibale’s 1450 Chimpanzee represents Uganda largest number of the endangered species and is also home to East Africa’s largest populations of the threatened red colobus and rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include black and white colobus, red tailed and blue monkeys among others.

    The park also has more than 375 Species of birds including the African Pitta, green breasted Pitta, White naped Pigeon, crowned Eagle, red chested owlet, blue breasted kingfisher, African grey parrot among others.

  5. Day V Join the Chimps

    With an early rise after breakfast, you will be taken to the park headquarters for briefing to start your chimpanzee tracking experience. The experience will start from the Kanyanchu visitor’s center at 0800hrs with briefing and then you will start your search of the primates.

    Along the way you will encounter a variety of bird Species and other primates. For purposes of health and safety, On meeting the Chimpanzee, you are advised to keep a least 8m away although they may attempt to move closer, you will watch them go on with their daily lives for about an hour before returning to the center where your expert guide will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge.

    Return to the lodge for lunch and late afternoon, you will be taken for the Bigodi Swamp walk. This is another great opportunity to see yet a number of other primates and alloy of birds. You will later  return to the lodge and enjoy the local community perform traditional dances and also display their crafts.

  6. Day VI Explore The Queen's Park

    Day 6 of your excursion, will see you back on the tracks to depart for Queen Elizabeth National park about three hours’ drive away, you will visit the community and the fishing Village before proceeding to Marafiki Safari lodge for a check-in. Queen Elizabeth National park is a home to over 95 mammals and 600 bird species. Because of the diverse eco system which includes Savanna, shady Humid Forest it is a good habitat for huge wildlife and primates. You will have the rest of the evening enjoying the lodge grounds, weather permitting you may have a campfire experience.

  7. Day VII Cruise on the Queen

    Today after an early breakfast, your expert guide will collect you and take you on a game drive with chances of viewing lions, Leopards, elephants, water back among others, you will also see the vegetation in Queen Elizabeth National park. In the afternoon you will go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The Channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George. It is a 40 KM long stream of water located just beneath the Mweya Peninsula. The boat cruise which is about 3 hours will give you a very refreshing feel and you will be able to a number of animals while a lot of birds while on the cruise. Later, you will return to the lodge for a relaxed rest of the evening.

  8. Day VIII Wrap it up with the Queen

    After an early breakfast, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National park, along the way you will see a number of birds and you will drive through the Ishasha sector in search of the Elusive tree climbing lions. Bwindi National park lies in the south western Part of Uganda at the edge of the rift Valley. Bwindi is home to more than half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas and also provides shelter to about 120 mammals and 350 bird Species. Upon arrival, you will check –in at Mahogany Springs Lodge and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

  9. Day IX Explore the Thicket

    On this day after breakfast, you will be collected by your guide and taken to the briefing point for briefing to start your gorilla trekking experience. On meeting man’s closest relatives, you are allowed an hour with them as you watch them going by their everyday lives. You will then return to the starting point where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for lunch.

    Late afternoon you will be taken for a community activity, visit the ride for 4 a woman. Ride for a woman is a charitable organization set up to support women struggling with domestic Violence and HIV the women are taught skills in weaving baskets, sawing clothes, bags among others with African fabric, make crafts which they then sell to tourists which in turn helps them look after their families. You will later return to the lodge for a relaxed rest of the evening.

  10. Day X Explore Lake Mburo National Park

    This morning after breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National park, you will have a stop at Igongo Cultural Village for lunch and then proceed to Lake Mburo for a check-in at Rwakobo rock. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of the Uganda a national park and is home to 350 bird species and also has animals like zebras, impala, buffaloes, Hippos, Hyenas among others. Have the afternoon at Leisure and you will be taken for a spot light night game drive.

  11. Day XI Wrap it Up with Lake Mburo

    After breakfast, you will be taken for a game drive to enjoy the wildlife that this park has to offer as well as birding. Return to the lodge, check-out and depart for Entebbe with a stop at the equator for lunch and photos. You will arrive at Entebbe for a check in at the Karibu Guest house for an overnight.

  12. Day XII Wrap it Up With the Memories

    After breakfast, you will be collected by your expert guide and taken to the pier to take your boat to the mabamba Swamp. Mabamba is one of the convenient places for spotting the most sought after shoebill. The swamp has over 260 species of bird. You will then return to the lodge to freshen up and check out and your guide will transfer you to the airport on time for your check-in for your departure flight.
